Spring arrives in the Canadian Arctic. This tender documentary captures a remote Inuit settlement coming back to life, following three very different women: Annah-Sky, a young girl growing up with her father after losing her mother. Kathy, fresh out of high school, weighing whether to leave her beloved home to study in the city. And Ellassie, a social worker bent on connecting generations by bringing the community together for traditional Inuit fishing. Their thoughts, stories, and voices blend in with stunning landscape footage. Director Marie Zrenner, trained at Munich’s HFF, has made a quiet yet powerful film that gets to the heart of what life is really about.
