Die biologische Uhr tickt und das lesbische Paar Sasha und Maya überlegt,
ob es nicht an der Zeit wäre, auch ein Kind zu bekommen. Allerdings ist
keine der beiden potentiellen Mütter wirklich so sehr von diesen Plänen überzeugt,
dass eine Entscheidung vorangetrieben oder gar in die Tat umgesetzt wird. Denn
zuerst wollen notorische Zukunftsängste aus dem Weg geräumt werden,
und dann ist da ja auch noch die gar nicht so unwichtige Frage nach dem - möglichst
perfekten - Erzeuger. Sasha glaubt ohnehin, dass es heterosexuelle Paare bei
dieser Entscheidung viel leichter haben. Doch beim genauen Hinsehen tun sich
gerade hier unbekannte Hürden auf.
Lisa Gornick geht in ihrem zweiten Spielfilm witzig, aber doch sehr gefühlvoll,
der Frage nach, wann der ideale Moment für eine der wichtigsten Entscheidungen
im Leben gekommen ist. Als Hauptdarstellerin Maya, die das Geschehen mit kleinen
Karikaturen ironisch und liebevoll kommentiert, überzeugt sie zudem durch
ihr zeichnerisches Talent.

English: The biological clock ticks and the
lesbian pair Sasha and Maya discuss whether it is time to have a child. Although
admittedly neither of the potential mothers is really quite so convinced
by these plans, and thus there is hardly any endeavour towards a decision
nor is anything really put into practice. Since initially, notorious fears
for the future need to be cleared out of the way, and then there is, well,
also the really not so unimportant question of the – preferably perfect – genitor.
Sasha believes anyway, that heterosexual couples have it much easier with
this decision. However, by closer inspection unknown obstacles arise right
here of all places.
In this her second movie Lisa Gornick amusingly but soulfully persues the question
of when the ideal moment is for one of the most important decisions in life.
As principal actress Maya, who ironically and tenderly narrates events with
small caricatures, she is furthermore convincing with her talent for drawing.
